I am very sorry you and Misty have to be in this situation )-:
Have you looked into ragdoll/purebreed cat rescue organization? I mean as a last resort before the RSPCA. The majority of these shelters are no-kill.

RE: New Mum and Dad needed
There is a Rescue Shelter that looks after cats for as long as they need to find homes. Otherwise known as a non-kill shelter and the lady there has kept cats for their whole lifetimes if they can't find homes so that could be an option. She is located in Melbourne, PM me if you are interested.

I hope Misty finds a home soon, I am surprised he hasn't already. Have you put him in the Advertiser?

ETA - Whatever you do please don't put him in the RSPCA because those RSPCAs that you have heard of are here in our state. I am sure his breeder would take him in if it resorted to that. But the cost of flying him from here to Melbourne wouldn't be much at all if it was the last option in saving his life, I reckon around $120.

Great news!

Thank you to everyone on here who offered me help and advice. We contacted our breeder and he came up trumps with a lovely new home for our boy.

Although heartbreaking for us to see him leave, his new Mum seems like a lovely person who will give him all the love and time that he needs and deserves.

We will go and visit him in a few weeks and say hello, but it looks like he will settle happily into his new family and soon forget us.

Thanks again for all your help.

Best wishes

Tracy

thats so great! i have been meaning to reply here again but just havent had the time.

I'm so happy he has found a new home! for some reason, your little fella needing a home touched me the most. Maybe because you are in Australia like me, or because the way you described him reminded me of my little man.

Either way. I'm so happy that he is going to a new forever home and you will be able to see him settle in (which im sure will make you feel alot better about having to leave him)

Hi Tracy,

I'm also really glad to hear you found a good home for Misty. I know how painful it is for you. I'm missing Teddy so much, but I know he's settling in at the breeders and is on the road to recovery. Misty will be okay, hopefully even wonderful after making himself at home. Saying goodbye is the absolute hardest.

Take care,
Coral

Tracy, I'm glad you found him a new home. If things don't work out
I live in Australia and would pay for his flight to me.

Since they seem to of worked out, I'm really glad for you that you can go back to see him, I'm sorry your circumstances changed and you had to go through this.
