marking her spot
I just have a question about my ragdoll prada, we bought a down comforter for our bed, and our prada was doing #1 on it. I thought it was because of her litter box, so I didn't think anything of it. After that I made sure it was clean at all times. We now bought a new down comforter and the next morning she was doing # 1 on it again. She won't go on any other blanket just the down comforter. Does anybody have an idea what might be wrong? Thank You.

Yes, some cats will overmark the scent from down items, particularly comforters. Some will outgrow it, but you will have to give them up or keep her out of those rooms for now. After she has done it once, she will also then overmark HER OWN added scent from the use of it the earlier times and comforters are very difficult, if not impossible, to clean of all odors.

Some cats will mark any high loft bedding - comforters, quilts, etc. - without regard to materials, so be careful of that.

Best,
JanH
