Sound like an infection. A vet visit is a good idea. Infections usually respond promptly to antibiotics. Hopefully that is what it is and is from a scratch.

Best,
JanH

Thanks Teresa for the good thoughts,I sleep awful last night tossing and turning. As soon as the vet opens I will be calling. I can`t tell you how much I love her. She tested my love and commitment so many times. I got her from someone who didn`t want her any more. She had a behavior problem. After tons of money and lots of patience, I think we got her straighten out.

Took her to the vet and they and he is treating this as an infection. First they had to shave her chin , which freaked her out. Gave her a shot and some clavamoxtabs to take for a week in hopes that it goes away. Then hope it does not return. If it does not go away she has to go back next week. Also put her on valium.

I hope it is just an infection that the shot and pills can take care of - but why did he put her on valium???
