I went to the vet last night for Chester just for a checkup and the vet nurse said "Oh is he a boy (well yes) and she said that he should be a girl as he tortoiseshell in colour due to the white snip on his nose. I am very confused now as to what colour he is and I would love to know what class of colour Chester falls under? Please help me put a colour class to Chester.
Hey these are my first raggies, so i'm no expert! but he looks like a sealpoint mitted

see my boy with the little white dribble on his nose which is called a blaze & white chin & chest and mittens & white boots on the back legs.

White is irrelevant for a tortie and a tortie can have white or not. Red being added to him is what would make him a tortie. Although rare and usually infertile, there are male torties.
Chester is so cute!!! Looks like a seal mitted with a blaze (a tiny one) to me too. I think the vet tech obviously doesn't know raggies.
Yes, I would have said Seal Mitted with a Blaze.
I concur with the rest of the gang - seal point, mitted with a blaze and very cute, too!
Thanks to all the replies, I am very happy now that I know his correct colour (thanks to you all). I must admit I was a bit put off by the vet nurse calling my young man a freak and next time I see her I will be correcting her in regards to what colour he actually is.

.
CARagMama your Bo Bear is a very good looking man and looks very very similar to my young Chester.
Cheers all.
Yep, a very handsome seal mitted.
What a handsome little guy... and I agree too - seal point mitted

Yes, a seal mitted. The same as my Mittens with the little blaze. He definitely has no tortoiseshell in him as that would mean he would have red specks on his points, NOT a sole white mark in the centre.
