I had to put my 18 year old cat to sleep last month - it was the worst!
But now I am going to be getting a new ragdoll - on May 10th. I used a Littermaid litter box but have read here that it is not a good idea - so....I need some good ideas!!!! I really have no idea what size litter box to get.
I adopted my cat when she was 1 1/2 years old....and I have never had a little kitten. Should I get a box with a cover? Should I get 2 boxes?

I just have one large box for Teddy, and he was litter trained before I got him home. There has been no issues with toileting anywhere but the box, so 1 was enough for him.
I use the Oz-pet woodpellet litter & tray but I don't know if they are availiable where you are. Why not wait and see what the breeder is using and just get the same as her?

OMG - it is getting closer - Friday I am having the rugs cleaned - everyday she gets new toys.....I can hardly wait.....

Exept an adult Ragdoll! Just wait until Teddy grows up and you will agree, they truly blossom with age in every sense.
OP, we have two litter trays here. One is just your average sized and looking tray and the other is a little larger and has a clip on lid which sort of curves over and stops litter from being kicked out (after a quick google search I found a photo of what I mean
here). Jake & Jaz like both equally.
I have used a covered litter tray previously and personally did not like it, and neither did Jake.
I would get one tray unless you have a two story house in which case I'd get one for each level. The general rule is one litter tray for each cat plus one, although it varies from case to case.
