I have hesitated with this post, but it seems that some posters (one to be exact) had a habit of either being on rude or uses sarcasm to get their point across. I really enjoy being on this board and find that the information here is terrific. Even though I have owned cats my entire life, owning a purebred is new to me and yes, there is alot I don't know, which is why I come to the nice people here to exchange information and maybe be able to pass something along that others may find useful. Recently I posted something concerning a brand of cat food. I was curious to get others opinions. I don't see anything wrong with this and feel that's it's wrong to make others feel like maybe posting a question is not a good idea. I've seen others put in this same spot with this particular person and so no reason for it. We are all just trying to muddle our way through and gather the best information we can for our Raggies.

Sorry this post is probably too long, but I needed to vent.

Thanks all for listening
Carol C.
I know what you mean! I've only been here a few days and I've noticed the same thing.
I know how you feel! there are so many expierenced & understanding Ragdoll owners on here that iv'e just learned to shake my head and chuckle! at the other responses... the good far outweighs the bad. Big Grin
Do continue to ask questions (especially about food) because the question you ask about 5 others are probably thinking about. Knowledge is power.
I know it is upsetting sometimes. But thats the great thing about being here we can ask questions. Get advice that we can take or leave. There are quite a few people here whose vast base of knowledge is worth tapping into, and in my opinion its worth it.

Exactly! there are no silly questions, none of us have all the right answers. The more info the better our decisions are. Smile
Yep, I try not to get all my info from one source either. It's good to get opinions and knowledge from different sources no matter how deeply a source thinks theirs is miraculous and written in stone, what works best for one may not work for someone else.

Good luck finding a food that works for your kitteh. I'm sure you will ultimately do what's best for your cat.
There are people who tend to use sarcasm to emphasize a point when they know they are right about something. I myself am often guilty of this. My experience is that these people are generally quite knowledgeable, even if a bit hard to take sometimes. Take comfort that it really is not a personal attack so much as a method of driving home a point...and if I may; this ain't Kansas and I'm sure that most people come on here for an informative exchange not a love-in...Smile
I agree with everyone. Keep asking and communicating. I find that on any blog sometimes people respond showing their emotions strongly in their words as if they are venting their own unrelated problems in their comments.

Not to be taken personal...it is sad really
I think everyone feels the same way, however this person does have a lot of knowledge that is useful. Sometimes people are better with animals than they are with people. I just ignore what I need to and listen when I need some expert advice. Everyone else has been nothing but nice and welcoming. Smile
