Our little Girl has THE Worst Breath we have ever smelled! Yes, she's still a kitten (5 months) and lost her two upper canine (feline) teeth about 3 weeks ago... (yeah, we saved them

) But it is really bad! We jokingly call her poopoo breath now! Anyone know why? Could it still just because of her teeth? Is there something we could use to make it better? Maybe it's her food?
Any advise is appreciated!
Paul
It can be teething and it can be food or it can be some other medical issue. Ask the vet to check at her next visit.
You can use cat toothpaste, which will improve her breath.
What kind of food are you feeding her?
Higher quality foods are less likely to result in stinky breath and even less stinky poo.
Try brushing her teeth, and giving her those kitty-breath-fresheners.
Moe had really bad breath for a while too while he was losing his baby teeth, but he also had an upper respiratory infection at the same time which took us a while to get under control, so I couldn't pinpoint what was causing his breath problem. It's gone now though, thank goodness...it was pretty powerful!

We saved Moe's teeth too...

She's currently being fed Purina Kitten Chow - Nurturing Formula. We've tried feeding her Fancy Feast Gourmet Gold and Hills Science Diet Kitten food, but she doens't like either one. She LOVES Canned tuna, but only gets that ever few days and then just a little as I read its not good for them... something about calcium absorbtion issues or something... and mercury too. She also gets a little chicken if we're eating it.... but she only gets these things for dinner and only a little as she get so upset if she doens't eat with us.
hehe
"well thar's yer problem"

lol
its her diet.
Here, this may help

Try some of these foods, they're better quality and they are usually extremely tantalizing to their tastebuds.. what's really cool is that the cat food should actually smell like something that you yourself would want to eat if you were a cat. We feed a mixture of Royal Canin Kitten 34 and Royal Canin Maine Coon 31, even our finickyest queen will eat this without question. Because we breed, we feed adult food as well as kitten food for the extra nutrients as well as the extra boost of fat for when the kittens arrive. It also makes their coats very shiny and soft.
I agree with Amanda, high quality food does cut down on foul smelling breath and often reduces litter box odor as well as frequency of solid waste. Try foods with less "fillers". I personally feed high-protein foods with no grains, so Kitten Chow and Fancy Feast are not foods I would ever want to feed my cat. Try a higher quality food with no corn, gluten, or wheat products and I bet you will see a difference.
I noticed a change immediately when I switched my bf/partner's cats over from "friskies" to Royal Canin. They pooped less, ate less, lost weight (White Kitty), gained weight (Cleo), their breath smelled a million times better, they used the litter box less, the litter box was less smelly than it used to be, and they shed and matted less. Diet is very important in cats and feeding stuff like kitten chow, fancy feast, whiskas, and the like is like feeding your cats mcdonalds french fries and a burger on a daily basis. Not much for nutrition in other words.
Wow! Ok! Thanks! Guess We'll be switching back to Royal Canin then! Thanks All!!!
Dolly Thanks you

Not to butt in, but I do not recommend Royal Canin. It is full of corn and wheat ingredients, as well as other things like rice hulls and brewer's yeast. The website that Amanda linked to that has a rating system for cat foods actually failed Royal Canin, according to its system of rating.
