I am sitting here with my lovely Lilac girl Lilly beside me in her crate and counting babies, we are up to 3 so far, It will probably be a long night

We are at 4 she is having a big break but I would like her to start again sometime soon, its nearly 1am here

Oh wow.. you must be tired. I usually stay up till 1am, but am very tired at that time lol. Congrats again

Congratulations on the new babies. I can imagine you are exhausted. My husband and I take turns sleeping when we have a Momma in labor or delivery, it helps with the sleep deprivation. We did have a lot of litters come during the day for a long time, but it seems lately they have been at odd hours and typically when the house is asleep. I am sure they become calmer, when the house settles down, and it is easier to concentrate on delivering babies.
Hopefully she has her last baby soon, so you can get some rest. We need an update, when you are feeling rested.

Got a random question... do any of your cats get really whiny when they're in the 1st phase of labor? Angel did, and I find that today and all of last night, Shylo was crying and whining... and wouldnt let me leave the room at all. Angel gets more clingy than whiny, and will cry when I have to leave her, but doesnt cry or whine while I'm there... Shylo will NOT let me leave the room without first sounding incredibly heartbroken and she also cries and moans randomly while I sit with her. She's normally not a vocal cat either... not even when she's in heat.
