Please DO NOT use BioSpot for flea control.....it is bad news....

My friend had to take her 2 cats to emergency vet last night as they were having terrible neurological reaction....legs/feet twitching and one was starting to have eyes moving back and forth.

Vet didn't want to add to the problems by giving a shot and just gave them a full bath and monitored them till she felt they were able to go home; they were much better this morning. Vet said that BioSpot is bad....there are reviews about it on-line - pretty scary....don't know why the manufacturer is still making it! ARGH
I think I've seen a post on another forum at some point about the same medication. Wonder why they don't remove it from the market?
Oh, that is so sad for your friend and her cats. I hope they are okay when it all wears off. I have heard terrible things about BioSpot before. Ugh. We are very happy with Advantage; I feel comfortable that the ingredient they use in Advantage is as safe as possible, and some others are not as safe. I think some/many of the over-the-counter flea treatments, like BioSpot, are not good! People try to save a few bucks and end up with bad results. Sad I agree with Teresa; it should be better regulated, and most likely this one should be not on the market!
I've been hearing this for a few years and wonder why it's still available. Hope your friends kits are back to health soon!
It just makes me furious that they continue to market a product after it's learned there's a potential problem effecting the health of a pet.
It should be banned until proven safe Sad
It's unbelievable what's going on.....or what's NOT going on....
