Oh, Vivienne....I'm just so, so sorry. Grandpa's hold such a special place in our hearts anyway, but I can see how your relationship with your Grandpa would be even closer.
I know how you feel about your Sophie. It's amazing how some of our furbabies seem to have the ability to sense our pain and sorrow. Give your Sophie a big hug for me.

I lost my grandfather earlier this year, so I know how heartbreaking this can be. Hopefully having all of your family members coming in will help with their support.
It always amazes me how intuitive animals can be to our moods, and how they seem to know when you need an extra snuggle and cuddle. I was a mess the other day when Tommy left for school, and Koa wouldn't leave my side and gave me a ton of puppy kisses. I'm so glad Sophie is being there for you in the same way, it really helps so much to have their unconditional love.

I can't imagine how difficult this time must be for you. I pray for peace for your grandfather. I marvel at the special way the people here are so caring and compassionate anytime we are in need. What a comfort, and what a great comfort Sweet Sophie is to you.

My Grandad passed away yesterday morning, at around 2am. I can't even begin to say how much this hurts, he was my best friend growing up, and he always gave me so much love. With the help of my darling husband, my family, friends and beautiful Sophie, this journey through grief is an easier burden to bare.
