I have an account on photobucket. In the past, I have used it to download a few pictures. However, I would have to first download from my camera to PC, then from PC to photobucket, then from photobuckett here. ALL of this with archaic dial-up. Now that I have a new laptop, I am still confused about how to download pictures. I have a Dell laptop and use Windows 7. I wanted to download photos from my cell phone. Have read other instructions on the internet and am totally confused. I have Verizon Wireless LG. I have a memory card in the phone. Thought I could put it in an adapter, plug my camera to the laptop and downlooad like that. Did not work. My camera is a Kodak. I will go to these websites to see if I can find out some information. However, I know how smart many of you are when it comes to computers. So, I wanted to ask here as well
Regina - what you'll need for your phone is either to e-mail your pics to yourself (if that is a possibility - you may not have Internet on your phone to do it with), or you're right about using the adaptor, but intesad of putting it into your camera, you'll need to purchase a card reader that you can attach through a USB to your computer and then put the adaptor into that. Something along the lines of:

But yes, you'll still have to download pics to your computer, then upload to photobucket, then post to the forum. No shortcuts there.
You said your cell phone has a memory card? Does your kodak also have one? What kind? If you have memory cards, forget all the cord plugging in mumbo jumbo. Just plug the cards into your computer!
There is a regular SD card
like this and Micro SD card that comes with an adapter
like this. Also, does your laptop have an SD card reader? If it does, this will be a piece of cake!
Basically, put the sd card (whether it is the regular sd, or the micro sd inside of the adapter) in your computer, and it will automatically pop up a window for you giving you the option of what you want to do, and choose "open to view folders".
If your computer does not have an SD card reader, you can get a USB adapter
like this (which is what I use). With this you plug the USB adapter into the computer, and the SD card into the adapter, and presto, your computer will bring up a screen asking you what you want to do! Just choose "open to view folders".
Highlight all the pictures in the folder once you open it, right click one, choose cut, then right click somewhere on/in your computer (like in a picture folder) and choose paste. This way you free up space in your SD card plus save everything onto the computer.
And you know the last step, getting them all onto photobucket then onto here!
Now you have to get more pics of your furkids on here
