Our litter box is now in our coat closet (not using a lot of coats in the desert!) and the floor of the closet is about a foot off the ground. It is literally fantastic for us. Its got dual sliding doors and we keep the litter box on one side, the big storage container with both our furkids food in the middle, and Monkey's food dish on the other...plus there's a shelf up top where we keep all of their treats, extra litter, and one of those Febreze air fresheners that squirts on a timer. Then we just close the doors most of the way so only Monkey can get in and out and its perfect! Not sure if you have something similar, but its solved our smell issues plus its high enough off the ground to ease the pain of this pregnant lady cleaning it while Tommy's at school!

Right side with food container and Monkey's dish (note the air freshener up top):

Open just enough for a Monkey (and not a big brown dog with a taste for Monkey food and other not so pleasant things associated with Monkey!):

Sorry the pictures are a little fuzzy. Not sure if anyone else has something similar where this would work, but probably a wardrobe would be about the same. Its so much more pleasant than having it in the bathroom!
What a neat solution! Now, can we get some pics of Monkey who we haven't seen in months??
I love creative storage solutions! The only thing I would worry about is the febreeze possible getting into Monkey's food! But yes, we haven't got to see pics of Monkey in a while please shaarrreee
Very innovative! It's like his own personal en-suite Big Grin
Very neat Smile - now...since I have a total of 3 litterboxes I'd probably have to build a tower in a closet but it's a great source of thought here for me Wink - and I agree with the others, we haven't seen Monkey in ages LOL
Good idea! No spare wardrobe space here!!
That is really very nice..
I wasn't really geting a visual on it Jenny, till I seen that last picture,, it is up higher then the floor so cool. What is even nicer is if your in that home Jenny for a few years the baby won't be able to get into eather.Perfect!!
Great idea! When we get our kitty, I know our dog is going to try and eat his poo! :-(
Cool! I think you've just added to the value of you new home, what with the extra 1/2 bath! Tongue
Thanks, we're loving it! I know I need to get some pictures of Monkey and Koa up soon, I've been such a slacker! Good point about keeping the baby out of the litter too Linda, I hadn't even thought that far but you're absolutely right! Haha, Katleen!
