Hey everyone!
Oliver has some fleas and i noticed the other day a couple of black dots in his ears and so i was going to take him to the vet on monday to get some revolution for it. I wasn't sure, do you buy it at the vet or do they give you a prescription for it and you buy it somewhere else? His breeder recommended Revolution to me as its what she uses for all of her cats.\
Thank you!
Revolution purchased in the US requires a prescription. You can get the prescription from your vet - don't be intimidated to think you have to buy it all there. You might get your first tube to get started, and then get a prescription and order online.
I'm PMing you also about Revolution.

Wow you have to have a prescription in the states? We can get it over the counter at any vet's office or pet warehouse! Online is a good place to find it, sometimes its a bit cheaper.
Initial doses, I got from the vet, his price for 12 month supply would have been $156. so I checked on-line as I've ordered the dogs that way for years. With the prescription that he gave me I got the same 12 month supply on-line for $102.
(this was Canadian funds, using a Canadian website)
Surely Oliver shouldn't have earmites if his breeder has been using and recommends revolution

Does any one know if you can get it in the UK?

I'd be shocked if earmites weren't as "readily available" in the UK as they are anywhere else on the planet. They can be transferred in so many ways, plant contact, airbourne, via transfer on clothing etc.
Even though we use revolution, it's still part of their daily ritual to have their ears checked when I brush them

Thanks everyone! I got 1 dose from the vet yesterday (at a ridiculous price) and i am going to order them from an Australian website that Teresa showed me where you don't need a prescription. It ends up being like $56 for 6 instead of $26 for one like at my vet.
