She is so pretty and just so feminine looking too. She has such a calm looking demeanor that I can't believe she could be such a jumper. Lots of people report their raggies are jumping challenged, I think they're a little bottom heavy with the fat pad, LOL!!
Thanks for posting the pics of Katie, she is such a beauty and deserves attention too.
What a pretty girl! I think the gravity challenged must be a ragdoll thing. Leo is much more coordinated and graceful than Dexter. Dex is SO clumsy. It's hilarious to watch him when he gets started on a crazy moment, he's like this big puffball racing around running into things.. he has absolutely no coordination!
LOL, it must have something to do with their name Lindsey!
Teresa, thanks, she is so feminine, a real girly-girl. She's very dainty and silent in her actions, like a ninja when she jumps. She and Dexter are both such dear little ones and so affectionate but both sooooo different. If it wasn't for Katies jingle-bell on her collar, you'd never hear her move, Dexter sounds like a herd of elephants, especially when he charges down the stairs and he charges everywhere. Not a delicate bone in that boys body. Katie doesn't meow, she just gives me that sweet brrrrr chirp, Dexter still meows about everything, he just loves to talk. When it comes to purring though, opposite again, Katie has an atomic purr, loudest thing I've ever heard, Dex purrs ALL the time but it's so soft.
My hubby says that we have 2 dogs, 1 cat and 1 dexter!
Mishka is a very athletic jumper. She loves to jump up the door sills, often more than 4 feet high. Before we were "forced" to have French doors installed, she easily cleared 5.5 foot tall cardboard barriers into forbidden rooms. She also is an elephant as she runs from one end of the house into the kitchen, up on a table, to the microwave on a cart, and then to the top of the fridge. Dainty, she's not!!!
Katie is such a sweet, elegant looking little lady

- love her pictures!
... my boys are all good jumpers - not to the extent Huggy described with Mishka, but they do well enough for me LOL - but I've read about a lot of raggies being jump-challenged

Awww she's very beautiful! xx
BEAUTIFUL pics of Katie! She is so delicate & sweet looking.
Phoenix is a good jumper, and challenges himself daily on how high he can go. His latest challenge is trying to climb all the oak door frames. Oak is a hardwood, and his claws just slide off, but still he continues. Hahaha I cannot get over how high he jumps up the frames while trying.....at least 2 feet high as he vaults off his back feet.
I've read Ragdolls are floor cats, so maybe Dexter is one of those. I thought all Ragdolls were (until joining this forum)....but I guess not.
My worry with him is flopping off things because he is so laid-back. I still have not purchased a kitty condo because I worry he will fall asleep on a top perch and flop off, falling to the ground. Too scary and dangerous to think about.
she is so sweet!
Maybe it is a ragdoll thing, because Oliver is the same way, he will throw himself into the side of my bed and just climb the rest of the way.

Katie is so pretty!!!!
My Annabelle is not a good jumper. At 5 months, she still frequently misjudges her jumps and will try to hop onto the couch or bed and will either fall right back down or have to dig her claws in and scramble to pull herself up. Not very graceful at all! I leave a step stool next to the bed to help her. She is also not very agile. She often gets too much momentum going when running and then runs or slides right into walls and furniture. Sometimes it is funny and sometimes just plain alarming! LOL I hope she gets a little more coordinated as she gets older for her own good!
