I´ve gota a question about my male/female relationship:
My little lady is pregnant in the 5. week. So i decide that my male should become an hormoneinjection on last friday. The vet says it could take 2 weeks until the hormone works absolute.
In a fact - when i let him like he want - he likes to cover her x-times a day. And she´s not agressive about that.
Have you any experience about this problem? I´m shure that Kiba is not in a heat. The vet was be able to feel the embryo..

Can you not seperate them?
I would imagine it would be quite stressful for her to be mated and jumped upon during pregnancy, she will let of scents around day 42 and again towards the end of the pregnancy, the male may mistake this for her calling.
Yes, i always seperate them since the last 2 days. Since this development.
That she let scents at the times you say, was quite new for me! Have you any idea wich time it takes until the hormones will work at him?
I wish I could help him faster. Poor boy... =/ Could it take really 14 days or longer until they work?
I´m sorry about - he´s sometimes aggressive at the "non-ball" males - i can´t let him in the same room with the other males cause of his frustration, if you know what i mean..
Oh, an idea strikes me! Is it common practice in USA to use an chip or injection to neuter the breeding males temporary? I´m not sure this time
*prying* In Germany it is, cause the fact that breeders are not allowed to hold their potent males in a single room all the time.

I am in the UK and don't know of any pill etc.
How many females do you have for him ?
Hopefully the hormone injection will kick in soon.
Hi Nika - are you using a Suprelorin chip? - I'm not a breeder but I've heard it can take quite some time until the hormone level is down... - it's not that different from a real neuter I think - here is a good link to a german breeder writing about her experiences with the chip implant

He will get the chip. Unfortunately, he has only laughed at the injection. =/ I will wait how he behaves with the chip. Some tomcats are apparent so potent that none of both will work well. Than i´have a realy problem...
