Well, it was a long week, so beautiful and relaxing. We got home last night, just left everything in the car after our 6 hour drive took showers and fell into bed. Mocha has a runny eye, just clear fluid.. I'll keep an eye on it. It's his good eye, wouldn't ya know?
Lots of pics, Lassen was incredible.. the lake was wonderful and my brother's cabin so rustic and peaceful. Lots of pics soon, but I need to finish laundry and recover.
Hope all is well, I'll work on getting caught up here on the forum!
Glad that the lake was great

Time to rest and unwind before reality hits!
It's great to have you back - you're missed when you're gone. I can't wait to see the pics!
Thanks Elizabeth and Teresa! It is good to be back, the vacation was wonderful. I have uploaded a few pics that I'll share.
This is taken early morning at Buck's Lake, my brother, niece and son.
Relaxing canoe ride..
My daughter enjoying the good life!
My son fishing
Early morning mist over the lake, we were awakened by a flock of Canada Geese around 5:30 a.m. Lovely but noisy!
I just love the red oaks that are so plentiful on my brother's land. The different colors of moss and lichen are beautiful as well!
A fading Dogwood bloom, I was sad not to see them all in full bloom.. perhaps next year!
A shot of the Feather River Canyon taken from my brother's cabin. We could hear the water rushing over the rapids, also the train's whistles as the rolled along the river. It was fun watching them, they looked so small.
Tahoe dog... filthy as can be! Probably volcanic ash in the soil, everyone and everything gets so dirty! He is normally white!
My niece Greta Rose, what a goofpot!
Anyway... you know me, I filled up my 2GB memory card. So many pics!
Great pics as always Kitty! I'm so jealous right now, it looks so beautiful there! I'm getting used to the desert, but definitely missing the green. So glad you had a great time!
So beautiful! What a great holiday away

The mist over the water is breath-taking.
That place looks amazing, and so relaxing!! I could see myself like your daughter with feet in the water and a great book.
Thanks Jenny! I am glad to hear that you are adjusting, but wow what a contrast btwn Hawaii and Mohave! Each has it's own beauty.
Jo, the mist was amazing.. I had not seen that at the lake before!
T, Madison was reading Inkspell.. she loves the series! She was out there for about 2 hours but I got her out of the water because I was afraid she would burn. Lots of sunscreen, but you can get a nasty sunburn quickly up in the mountains. There were other family members reading with their feet in the lake.. it was so beautiful and relaxing. The time at my brother's cabin (about 10 miles from Buck's Lake) was especially relaxing, he has about 80 acres and since the rest of the family went home after camping we had him all to ourselves for a change! I ended up staying there an extra day, so glad I did that!
I missed you Kitty! That looks like God's country for sure! If I was there I'd be drinking coffee by that lake. I can feel the serenity just looking at your pictures.
Awwwwwwww, it's good to hear from you too Kat! Yes, good coffee is a MUST.. I brought my own and shared it with the family. Nothing like a fresh cup by the lake first thing in the morning!
I forgot to add this pic for Kim (Shakadaka). My niece's boyfriends' parents joined us and brought their beautiful German Shepard, Emmy. I couldn't resist taking some shots of her with the wildflowers. Poor thing is only 3 and has hip dysplasia and a bad shoulder.. from a byb? Not sure.
