I'm a little concerned also with my kitten feeding, because he doesn't eat much, I think! He is very active, I already saw he drinking, but... he doesn't eat a handful of food per day (I hope I'm saying it is right...)he just eat something like two or three tablespoons, and at night, when I give him the canned food, he just eats something like one or two tablespoons. What do you think about it?
It sounds light but it's hard to answer in terms of volume. Can you check the label and estimate the calories. It's recommended that a kitten should be getting close to 200 calories per day.
Thank you, Laura! I will try to see how many calories per day it is!

Monitor his weight. If, as a kitten, he is active and gains, then he is eating enough.
It may take a few days for his full apetite to kick in after his long journey home and time to settle in.
Thank you, JanH and FluffyHuffy!
I will monitor his weight! Should I monitor once a week?
You can do it whenever you are uncomfortable about it. One watches for loss of appetite by watching that they do eat - particularly wet food, since they tend to come and eat that when it is first offered.
I had a similar concern with my kitten at first. The vet said not to worry about the food intake too much because if a kitten is healthy he will eat the appropriate
amount for him. I noticed this can vary at different times in the growth cycle. Maybe he is still settling in, as was mentioned. Hopefully, he is not being finicky about the type of food you are serving. Is it the same as what he was eating at the breeder? I would ask his vet about it.
Thank you for all the information!

Well, Knight was 1.7Kg (3.74 pounds) 3 weeks ago and yesterday was 1.9Kg (4.18 pounds)!
Is it good? The vet said it was ok...
