Tomorrow I will go with my kitten, Knight, to the vet! But I would like to have your opinion too!

The membrame in his eyes (third eyelid) is not great yet, sometimes he sneezes and his nose is just a little dirty, but when I cleaned yesterday morning, only this morning I had to clean again, so it is not a big cold, but it can be a cold, right?

The temperature without air conditioner is 35 ºC (= 95 ºF = 308.15 Kelvin), with the fan the difference is not big, so... should I continue with the air conditioner or he can be good with the hot and it is safer?
Linus, our 9month old, has had a stuffed nose, dripping eyes, or infections almost continuously since we brought him home. Having the air on has been terrific for Linus and has almost eliminated the nose infections. We had the doors open the last two days and immediately his nose became stuffed and crusted. So we are leaving the air conditioning on for health reasons only. I think anybody woul9doooooooooi * (Sorry, Linus likes to help type) would be hot in 95 degree weather, human or animals. I don't think it's a matter of safety, but comfort. But others on here might know differently.
We have had an incredibly hot summer on the east coast. I can't function without the a/c. Makes me feel better when I see one of the boys on his back in front of an air vent letting the air flow blow the hair on the belly. They like being upstairs which is a little warmer. We have not been able to do porch time on their beloved porch because it has just been too hot. My first cat was with me when I did not have a/c and he used to whine every afternoon. I'm sure they can survive without a/c but like us, I think they are more comfy with the a/c.

Air conditioner, air conditioner, air conditioner-- the repeating is for emphasis! Twice this summer (which has been ridiculously hot), I've been without air conditioning for several days-- first after a major storm knocked down trees and power lines all over town, then after my air conditioner died and the entire system had to be replaced-- and the temperature inside my apartment got up to around 95 degrees, and my cats were really suffering.
Ok! Thank you, gussie and Ragsmomma!
Sustained 95 degree temps could be dangerous. Plenty of water, the highs not lasting long and resting in cooler areas will mean most cats are just fine, but better to lower the temp if possible.
Thank you, JanH!

Yes, it is possible with the air conditioner! But I was worried that could get worse (I don't know if he is with a cold), so I asked you! Wink
A cat with a cold is not better off in temperature that hot.

When my guys were little, I was afraid they would get a cold from the a/c. That's not the case and these guys love being comfy. I have not touched my thermostat since mid-June since we have been in the upper 90's a lot this year. I can tell when the porch is too hot for them. They go out and come right back in again so I haven't even opened the door. The a/c is just as good for them as it is for us.

I keep my a/c between 72 and 74 farenheit. It has been a really hot summer here with a record on the consecutive days with temps overr 90. In addition, Gabriel likes to stand in front of my C-Pap headgear to feel the air blowing out from my nasal pillows.
