Update:
The bed continues to be in continual use. If anyone overstays their turn, the next in line sits outside the case and stares at the offender. At the moment, it's Kintu's turn. Earlier, Miles was so deeply asleep he didn't hear Nelson enter the room and when he spoke, Miles jumped a foot, gave Nelson a nasty look, then settled back down. I don't know how they decide whose turn it is. I haven't heard any screeches or tearing fabric, so it must be a civil method. I'm guessing they play Rock, mousies, fishes to decide.
Never in my life have I EVER bought a bed for an animal and actually have them use it. The attraction of a cat to a suitcase is truly amazing.

That's good to hear. I'm thinking of bringing you the one I made for my girls. They sure aren't using it. Oh, except Simone did do this today:

well it's a start Teresa! - Don't you say you're girls are not using the suitcase bed - Simone tries her best

Oh but she is useing it. It is a suit case CHAIR. See Simone is just smarter than the average cat I think.

Have you thought of opening the lid?
Seriously, I wonder if they are less comfy with the lid behind them? They can't see in that direction.

I'm actually considering taking the lid off and see how it goes. I think they may be afraid of the lid being on. Of course Linda thinks they don't like the wobble of it (Jan, if you look under yours you'll see we made adjustments so yours doesn't wobble)

Whatever ours is doing, it's doing it right. Wobble or not, it ain't broke so I ain't fixing it.
Kintu appears to be the definite morning winner. Miles is too busy trying to get out the door to argue about it.

Simone's doing her best, she's modelling that bed very well, it looks lovely
