We had a wonderful time at Jan and Nelson's. They fed us incredibly well (veggie and dip appetizer, an incredible pizza, fruit and chocolate dip dessert - ok, enough about the food my mouth is drooling again), and then there there the kitties.
Linda immediately snatched up Miles, and I had to remind her that I had dibs on him!
We had tons of laughs and lots of kitty cuddles
and when we left, Kintu and Miles were totally worn out (as was the catnip overdosed Angelo who went to sleep it off in another room)
Notice the suitcase bed that we took Jan -- it was a big hit!
Oh my gosh the suitcase bed is great! And it looks like you guys had a wonderful time

So glad you had fun!
I had a wonderful time. The only part I didn't like was when they left. We have a tricky knob on the front door and Linda couldn't figure it out and I wasn't telling! Unfortunately, she eventually got it to work and they left, dspite Teresa telling Linda there was a bat flying around the door and me making Linda take a break for the "powder room" before she got in the car. It was Nelson who grabbed Miles and held him securely while all this was going on. He wasn't going to let him "accidentally" go missing. Teresa is peremanently in "GO" mode, so there are probably going to be pictures of Linda crashed somewhere, just like Jane. Bet Linda had a "napette" on the way home.
The suitcase bed is the cutest thing you've ever seen. Nelson keeps talking about how "crafty" and "clever" it is. The kitties love it. Miles jumped right in and posed like he was auditioning for "Top Model" Linda and Teresa played fashion photographers. Kintu got in and actually went to sleep. Later, Angelo got in and rolled and played. Widget got in and rolled around in it, too. Malachai probably won't use it, though. He's way too cool and manly to be seen in among the ruffles. I saw the post about the suitcase bed, and I looked at the link. I thought it was really cute and wished I had the time and energy to make one. I never imagined one of them would walk in my door! I think it's going to stay in the living room because it might save the sofa some nap dents, and it's just to cute to put in some obscure place in the house.
Linda pulled Jane's trick and came in with a purse full of catnip. They enable Angelo. It's a big step back and I had to take Angelo's two months sober chip away. He'll have a hard time earning it back because Teresa had a little pack of nip she tried to keep safe, but I found it behind the sofa, ripped and scattered. I'll know where to vacuum, though. I'll just follow Ange around the room and see where he stops, drops, and rolls. Miles crawled in Linda's purse and tried to open the big container. He punched a few tooth holes in it before Linda got it out. For punishment, she opened it and gave him a few bites. That'll show him!
Nelson stuck with us the whole time and he really enjoyed himself too; even talked some. Later, I said, "Didn't you have a good time? Women are so much more fun than men. We'll talk anything but sports, and we're all about the laughs. Men can only talk about sports and body functions." He said, "Yeah, they were a lot of fun and I can't talk sports." Nelson is a rare bird who has no interest in anything to do with sports but his motorcycles and the very occasional Yankee's game. I'm very grateful for that.
I can honestly say that, beginning with meeting Teresa on another Raggie forum several years ago, I have truly met the best people of my life through my fur children. We're as special a breed as they are. Raggie parents are the best!
Oh yeah. I almost forgot: Hey, Linda! Did you see all the Billy Bobs in my yard?
What can I say,I'm so spoiled")I'll opt for southern hospitality anytime")
Teresa, as all ways has be a wonderful hostess she has open her home and her heart to me and I am truly blessed.
Teresa took me to Jan's home yesterday, and we spent the afternoon and evening having such a wonderful time lots of laughs. My mom like alot of your moms probably told you ,,you can never measure your wealth by your money but byyour friends I know my mom would be proud of me

It sounds like you all had a truly wonderful and I am now sitting here in a wet and windy Derbyshire looking a beautiful shade of emerald green

Jan - please take a photo of your Billy Bobs, I need to see some in full bloom.
The photo of Samantha in the suitcase bed is just a classic - how could you possibly take it away from her Teresa, that's just mean
Linda, now you have experienced southern hospitality when are you going to let Teresa and Jan visit you? I'm sure they'd fight ovver who was going to have Cello or Leyla as much as you and Teresa fought over Miles

.... I'm so envious... wish I could go on round trips visiting too

the suitcase bed is gorgeous, love the pic with Samantha

Angelo has spent the entire day in that bed. He'll crack one eye open if you walk by, but he only moves to change positions. Miles waited outside for his turn about an hour, but finally gave up.
No better testament to the success of the kitty case bed.
