It seems that, like last summer, there is a shortage of canned pumpkin. I've been hunting it for awhile to use for baking, not for Mishka who probably would not deign to eat any pumpkin if she needed it!

Today, I found canned organic pumpkin in the canned vegetable aisle at Super Target for $1.99. They also had organic canned sweet potatoes and squash.

Hopefully those of you who've had trouble finding canned pumpkin lately can find some at Target.

Thanks for this post. I called my sister in Jersey and she grabbed cans of pumpkin for me. That makes me very happy.

Next time I'm in Target, I'm gonna check and stock some!

It's the same here for us in Germany... we can only find pickled pumpkin - no canned - last autumn therefore I cooked a pumpkin and preserved it as I would do with homemade marmalade. I think this year I'll also try to freeze small portions of cooked pumpkin.

I ended up buying a case of organic canned pumpkin from Amazon, its helped so much! I have to feed it to Koa outside, otherwise Monkey tries to get to it too. Never thought they'd love it so much. I'll never go without it again. Thanks for the tip, I'll have to take a look for it next time I go to Target.
