Personally, I wish it had been done before I picked my kitten up. And I would have been willing to pay more initially.
Thankfully, this is something I won't have to worry about with the second kitten.
It seems (to me anyway) that the arguement with early neutering/spaying lies with the breeder's and/or vet's personal preference. Vets who offer early neutering require that they are a minimum weight before they can be put under anaesthesia, to make it "safer" as I understand. Some vets will still refuse to do it on a cat any less than 6 months. Out of all the young kittens that have been early neutered I haven't heard of any of them having complications. Personally I think it's great to have them neutered early before going to their new homes. Peace of mind for breeder and new raggie parents Smile
