I recently started giving treats to Sophie such as after nail clipping or getting teeth brushed. I had hestitated in the beginning since I didn't want any stomach upset. So far so good. However, I've been giving her Natural Temptations, which I also give to my older cat, but after reading the ingredients (something I've learned to do alot of recently) and I'm not too happy with the listing. I wondering what type of treats everyone here gives to their babies and if there is a particular favorite.

Thanks very much
Carol C.
I must admit I'm not as strict with treats concerning the ingredients as I am with their regular food - for example Malt paste - it always has some sugar in it - but the amount they get can't be compared to normal food tha's why it's ok for me. Rolleyes
I'm afraid I can't help you with brands... I'm in Europe and I guess most won't mean anything to most of you.
Some of mine like Natures:Menu chicken and liver treats but I know you can't get them in America as I took some over for Teresa's girls when I was over. Conversley, some of mine love tuna flakes and we can't get them over here in the UK, I brought them back with me. I just wonder why cat treats can't be univesal!!
The Natures Menu (if you live in the UK) are wonderful. Jane is right, my girls really love those. For Simone, she used to wouldn't let me groom her, now she begs to be groomed so she can cat tuna flakes, and that's the ONLY time those are passed out. The other treat that comes when I cut their nails, or scrub Samantha's chin (she's prone to chin acne) is freeze dried chicken. It's just one ingredient (chicken) that is freeze dried. I buy it in the dog section at PetSmart.
Do not ignore a piece of regular kibble hand fed as a treat.
chicken or kibble hand fed for Charlie. He loves his chicken though! I must admit that I hose down sardines and remove any bone. I would never recomend it, but yup I give him that also. Bad mommy.
Are Dental Treats good treats? I want to teach Knight to do some tricks, so I have to use treats and I don't know what to use! Some people said that Greenies are good, but I don't have it here in Portugal, so I'm thinking in other dental treats, but I don't know if they can be given regularly!...
I forgot to say: I can't find here freeze dried salmon or shrimp for cats, they are good treats, but it will be expensive to me, because of the shipping... Do you have any other ideas?
My guys love Greenies and of course chicken.
