I have been computerless for awhile. Lightening hit my house. I lost my computer among other things. In addition, the administration at work has cracked down HARD on the use of the Internet for anything other than work-related things. This is good-just means I have not had a way to come here for awhile. In addition to getting a new lap top, I have now gotten high speed internet. I feel pretty blessed! It is good to be back!

I'm so pleased that it was only the computer that was lost when the lightening struck your house and that you and the G's are well. It's good to have you back, and at high speed too
That happened to us when we lived in nashville. Fortunately we were on vacation because there was a golf size hole in my pillow where it came through the roof and travelled through the air conditioning ducts. It was strange to see what was "fried' and what had no damage at all. We had 3 large fish tanks, and 1 didn't make it. Our dryer, but not our washer. The upstairs heating system, but not the down. Etc.
You are very lucky it was just your computer. Be forewarned though. 6 months after we were struck, electrical systems ie. heating, continued to fail.
