Well i havent had a kitty fixed in over 20 yrs, and my 2 new rag babies are being fixed this coming Monday! and i'm starting to get nervous. Especially for my little girl, she is a very sesitive one, so i'm just hoping she takes it well.
One good thing is that i have a new vet with these babies ( feline specialist) so happy with this place. They also are having the pre surgery bloodwork & they are being micro-chipped, so its a big day. I suppose i won't sleep well tomarrow night, Tylenol PM..here i come haha.
We were going to wait till Sept but Bo is showing some uh... macho behavior with his sis, vet checked him and he is ready at just under 5months.Shy
Glad you are getting it done. Not having at least one sex done when there are whole kittens in the house is very dangerous for baby girls, since they can figure it out very young. Another reason for early speuter.
Sending good vibes your way that all goes well. My girls were done when they came to me - but some on here report the worse part is withholding the food - that they actually bounce back rather quickly.

Yea! iv'e never owned a cat that i didn't have fixed ! This is my first time having 2 kittens same age maturing together, i just didn't expect it so quickly, although i know female kittens can come into heat early & that is why i have to do it now, but i guess being they are almost 5 months ..it's not that earlyShy

Yes i am dreading the hungry meows in the morning! no food after 10pm the night before, so i'm taking them in as soon as i'm up & dressed, probably 7:30 am. Thanks for the good thoughts.
Breeders report four month old male kittens getting their queens pregnant. The good news is that two novices are less likely to be successful than when one is experienced. However, better safe than sorry since it is so dangerous for the queen.
Good luck to Monday! Fingers crossed for a quick and full recovery! Smile
