Today i was playing with my 2 kittens, and they got bored as usual so i went & sat down to read the newspaper, Roxi just sat & stared at me so i gently dropped 1 layer of the paper over her! then another & another by then Bo came over to join in and they played under there for a good half hr
a very low cost toy indeed !

I do the same thing with my boy. When I buy some houseware that's breakable at the store, they wrap it up in paper. When I get home, it becomes a great toy--especially when I hide small toys under it. He goes flying across the floor mostly under the paper. Hysterical!

Yep! whenever i go to Costco i make sure they put my purchases in a box suitable for kitties!

I'm with you on that! Have a favorite big one from Kohls, that i stash in the cabinet,& give it to them while i'm cleaning the kitchen
I actually buy the gift wrapping tissue paper for my girls to play in. Dollar tree carries a bunch of it for $1

Our cats love tissue paper and boxes, too !
Another throw away kind of toy? Sunny totally adores toilet paper rolls. LOL I cut them into rings and toss them on the hardwood floor and she'll paw at them and chase them around the room for the longest time !
I used to let them play with the little plastic rings from around the top of gallon milk jugs, but then got worried that if they chewed on it, they'd swallow the plastic. No worries with the little toilet paper cardboard rings !

That's a cool idea... I never thought about cutting rings out of them - well because of my dogs normally the toilet paper rolls don't last long here - but I think I'll give that a try.
