Keep in mind this list is recalls starting in 2006 and that many brands were recalled based on the melamine contamination in one plant in 2007.
I had no idea when it started and what it all entails. She just sent it to me last night, so I made the assumption that it was a current recall. Sorry !
Don't be sorry. Some want to know the recall history for varioius foods. It is just a matter of understanding what is included in the list. However, if one assumes they are all current, it is even more frightening. ; )
Echo, this is the FDA website maintained by the US Govt. It's a good idea to check it periodically for new recalls - pet food as well as people food/products. You can sign up there to have them send you periodic email updates as well. Laura

Thanks! My last kitty was on prescription food for all but three of her 21 yrs, so i had never dealt with all these recalls, but my daughter has 2 sphynx's that became so ill last summer & she had been feeding Nutro, packets & dry with some Royal Canine, after a lots of test & a holistic vet review 3 vets feel they suffered zinc poisening from the nutro, she has spent the better part of this past yr cleaning out their bodies, the older kitty is affected more but doing well, hoping no long term effects.
So i have since done lots of checking on food with my new kitties, and won't go near Nutro! and try to check the website often. My new feline vet is great about notifying of recalls.
