Thanks, she utterly transformed our lives in that short time.

I feel that way about Meeko. I lost him at 10 months old and so many well-intentioned concerned friends / family said something to me like "if only you'd known" you could have picked another kitten or just gotten Newman.

Like your Gracie, he was an angel kitty before he even crossed the rainbow bridge. I'm better for having known him and I don't regret a moment of it (I just wish there had been more moments).
Yes, even if i found out one of my babies had HCM, i would just love them however long i could have them.I feel they are angels sent from heaven to help me deal with my loss.
I had a kitten with HCM as well. A beautiful blue point Siamese girl, named Bombolina. I loved her so... She became an important fixture in my life for the short time she lived--just a little over a year. The vet said her heart just swelled up and she died-- completely out of the blue. I was heartbroken. Such was my introduction to HCM...This was many years ago now, but it left a strong impression, as losing a beloved pet will do. This is one of the reasons I wanted a pure bred cat with genetic history and health guarantee. In the past, I've had shelter pets, loving and wonderful, but I haven't been lucky with their various health problems.
I'm concern with this issue! My Knight pants a lot!!!

It is really hot here, and I have a fan there working all the time, but he pants 2 minutes after starts to play!... I don't know if is just the hot, because after some more playing he was with his tongue out, like a dog! I offer water, but only some time later he wanted to drink!

I will ask the breeder if he was like this at her home too!

Diana - the homepage of your kittens breeder says ALL her cats are tested negative for HCM and PKD - so she does all she can to have healthy kittens in regards to those illnesses.
It could easily be the heat/play combination with your baby... Shy
You are right, nicky263! I have those papers with me! Smile

But I never saw I cat like this before! I will post some photos!

You will be having a vet exam soon, so just mention it to the vet so that he can check cardio-vascular issues with greater care. It is likely heat and exertion.
I will, thank you JanH!
