So, I'm slicing zuccini to marinade and grill tonight and a few slices fell from the cutting board. This is a huge zuccini, at least three inches in diameter, sliced into half inch rounds. I didn't realize I had a bandit until I went into the family room and there is Dexter munching happily away, he had almost finished a round, rind and all and was not happy when I took it away from him.
Can this cause any danger to his GI tract? Should I be on alert? He seems perfectly fine at the moment but in case there is any harm, I need to plan as it is a holiday here today and it would have to be the emergency vet clinic.
If I remember right, Zucchini comes from the same family as cucumber, melons and pumpkin - I can't see why it should be dangerous - just my 2cent
Thanks Monika, that puts my mind at ease with the little piggie.
Great link to have, thanks Jan

*Sigh* He not only liked it Kitty, he loved it, his appetite knows no limits! He at least is learning a few manners from the others, he will sit for his treats on command and is about 75% there on giving a high five like the others do. He no longer climbs legs when he see's a human eat but he still vocally lets you know he's there waiting for a shareRolleyes
Haha what a little monkey! I can't believe he at a raw zucchini, yuk!! At least he's got a good appetite Wink
LOL...so Dexter likes zucchini. Funny! Ragdolls really do have quite the appetites for sure.
