I just purchased a blue bi-color male 2 weeks ago. He is 13 weeks old. I took him to the vet this afternoon for his second round of distemper shots. While we were at the vet, we found out he had ear mite eggs in his ears so the vet gave us some Revolution Flea and Mite Control which I topically applied on the back of his neck when we got home. He wouldnt stop scratching and licking at it and over the past 5 hours he has become very lethargic and depressed. He hasnt touched his food or water and all he wants to do is sleep. He also seems to have a stuffy nose and even vomited some of his food up. Im not sure weather it was the shot or the Revolution, or both that have made him sick. I was just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and could lend some advice as to how I could make him feel better!

Thanks,
Concerned Mom
First, call your vet, or an emergency vet in the area and just ask if this could be a reaction and does he need to be seen. A call or visit to the vet is never a waste, and better safe than sorry.

Hope he is ok, and please let us know how he does. (and welcome to the forum)
At a minimum, call the vet and explain the symptoms. Any signs of a shock reaction, which unsteadiness and vomiting are, are EXTREMELY serious and needs to be sorted out.
I hope you get the answer soon. PLEASE KEEP US POSTED. btw WELCOME.
Hope your kitty will be feeling better soon. Were you able to reach your vet? VCA is 24/7 with emergency service. That reaction to the shots and ear mite meds doesn't sound normal.
Get in touch with a 24 hour emergency vet and have him seen as soon as you can. Hope that you are over the worst of the reaction, please up-date when you have word.
I agree with everyone here, I would get him in ASAP. My kitty had a med reaction this week and I brought him back to the vet right away and he had to get an antihistamine shot. Please keep us updated!
I hope he will be feel better soon! Did you call a vet already?
Hope your kitten is ok and gets better soon, poor thing.
Thank you everyone for your concern! I called the vet and all they told me was to keep an eye on him. I could hardly sleep last night because I was so worried! Thankfully I woke up this morning and my kitty seems good as new! He's been eating, playing, and going to the bathroom! Thank you all for your advice!
