Ruby seems to be a very headstrong little lady Rolleyes

Cling-ons don't just get stuck in the fur, ummm - I might have to be a bit more graphic there... sometimes a dangler is connected by hair to a piece still inside the intestines that way it can take a bit to fall off
Headstrong is putting it nicely....! LOL Big Grin

That is a really good point....and considering she hasn't had box issues before I'm liable to think it must have been a dangler-related incident.

On occasion, we've found small poops in the hall where they fell in her haste to return to the action. Only a couple of times has she sat upon a clingon, and we had to cut her britches to get it off. We learned long ago that she HATES her britches or bottom washed, so we tend to check closely both her and the hall when she comes racing out of her room. Oh, the things we'll do.....

LOL oh Mishka is too cute for not wanting to miss out on any fun!

Yes, mine are the same with the bottom/britches cleaning. even if I just check their paws they get testy Rolleyes but usually Pyjamas will accept his fate (especially now that I'm still able to somewhat control him), whereas Ruby doesn't give up easily.

Just thought of this......some people use those huge sterlite/hard plastic containers that retail stores carry, but considering the space they take up, it's not always workable. Jelene, I'm sure this must be stressful for sure & I'm wishing you the best on a speedy resolution for your precious kittens.

Also, if Phoenix gets a little poopster stuck on his back-end fur, I just trim the piece off him vs. trying to wash it. Washing seems to spread the smell more on his hair and smears the poo as well.

Huggy.....LOLOL on Mishka getting so excited after she poops. And, I've sometimes wondered why Ragdolls announce that they're going to use the litter box. It's so funny and cute!

That's definitely a possibility, but I have to wonder why she didn't just use the other box which was maybe 5 feet away from the one she began using...LOL. weird kitten of mine.

I have purchased 2 containers to make my own sieve trays out of (to give her more room to keep her from stepping in her poo all the time), just waiting to have the money to buy a power drill as the one I have won't be able to drill big enough holes. Smile

Hah...my Ruby does that too...she cooes sometimes when she's about to jump in the box...it's too cute Smile
If the last piece of poo business continues ending up on the floor, definitely give the hiney area a trim/shave! I have electronic clipper that I use to shave the hair around the ahem..exiting area. I usually do a good square patch all the way around. Then a little trimming with scissors finishes it up, and voila! No more "bullets" (haha love that term Jo!). If Ruby is a bit sassy about the whole ordeal, you can always try taking her to an experienced kitty groomer for a sanitary trim. At my local grooming place a kitty sanitary is about $20 and they usually do the nails too.
Hehe, the "bullets" we find are usually about 2cm long (or 2cm cube lol) When you're the one cleaning the litter box all the time you start to identify the *ahem* shape and origin of each deposit Wink Our carpet presents usually look like an end "piece", but if you're seeing a sausage chances are kitty did it on purpose Shy How's Ruby coming along now?
hahaha - we have some really great threads on here hey Wink

i thought i'd add: edwards had quite a few danglers in his time, and sometimes they are alot longer than 2.5cm.
not sure if you wouldve looked, but was there much hair in the "bullet"? sometimes this seems to keep them together in a long string, and hard to detach from the *ahem* exiting area. and edward once had a long trail behind him while i chased him around the house trying to get it... resulting in "bullets" dropping along the ground.

it seems to me that it was a cling on too. if it doesnt happen again in the next couple of days - thats what i'd reckon anyway.
Meg....ROFLMAO!!!!!!!! Luved your post and how true it is too! My DLH had many of those long strings....sometimes it was from a piece of his long hair exiting out along with the poo and sometimes it was long pieces of cat grass coming out. ;-)
