This is how my day started.. 5:37am

*CRASH!!!* Reer!!! REEEERR!! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERR!!!!

Mandy (Bluesky) jumps out of bed and does a mad dash towards the crying baby-cat.

Mandy: Gasp!! What have you DONE to yourself?!
George: REEEER!!!
George is tangled in the phone cord, nothing serious, he just cant move without becoming more tangled.
Mandy: Give me a second, you're making it worse!
Mandy untangles George and goes back to bed.

CRASH!!!!!!!! SQUAWK SCREEEEE!!! REER!!! SQUAWK!!! SQUAWK!!!! SCREEEEEEE!!!

Mandy jumps out of bed again and checks clock... its only 6am.

Runs down the stairs, and grabs George who's got a very hot ear (from bird biting it)... plops George in the bathroom, and proceeds to try to catch newly escaped bird.

Brother in law opens door to come in the house after being out all night.

Bird flies out door.

George gets out of bathroom, and tries to run out door too.

Mandy cries, and rushes outside after bird... locates bird in average-sized tree... with lots of branches. Mandy climbs tree, grabs bird, and puts bird in her sweater pocket.. almost gets out of tree, (it starts to rain) and bird flies out of pocket into another tree that is a little taller, with LOADS more branches and twigs. Mandy groans, and climbs second tree, puts bird in pocket AGAIN, but keeps it closed for the most part.... bird gets out of pocket again, and flies to first tree. Mandy SCREAMS in frustration, runs inside grabs scissors, and rushes back outside again. Mandy climbs tree, grabs bird, clips bird's wings while still in tree (its now heavily raining), tosses scissors to ground, and jumps down, brings bird inside and puts bird back in cage.

Cries at George "this is all YOUR fault!", huffs to herself, and goes upstairs to change into some dry clothes.

**CRASH!!!*** REER!!

Mandy: GEORGE!!!!!!
WoW! What a morning! So George is curious, eh? I hope the bird has gotten over his trauma and you too!

Love your new signature, BTW!
LOL. The bird is fine, a little cold, and freaked out, but fine. I on the other hand now have a problem... how the heck can I keep him away from my bird when I'm sleeping????? My other cats have just learned to ignore them, mostly cuz the birds have bitten them before, but George doesnt care or something like that lol. He's really curious and adventurous too, and has absolutely no regard for the word "no" or "off". He likes to be on tables. I'm bringing out the big guns, and am setting tinfoil on the tables, and getting the squirt bottle out again lol. Havent had to actually use that thing in a while. Oh well. He's gotta learn somehow.

Oh! Thanks by the way. I used paint to do it, and photobucket re-sized it so that it wasnt so incredibly big.

Angel is the dreamer, Shylo's the princess, and George is the adventurer.
lol...I wonder if its in the name. My George is also very very curious... He was one of the only cats I heard of who sprained their ankle. Now he is still a bit naughty so when I cant watch him he has his own room. I tried letting him sleep in my room, however...nobody got any sleep Smile Soon I will try again and hopefully it will be better. very funny tho Smile
Do you cover your bird cage at night when you are sleeping? Maybe that might help...would it be out of sight out of mind for George, or would he see it as a challenge? When I had my cockatiel when I covered the cage it was very calming for him...he wasn't bothered by that at all. Good luck tonight! Smile
No, the cage is HUGE and will take a queen-sized bed sheet to cover it... and George will see it as a challenge lol
K, well what we did was we moved the cage into my bedroom for now. I think after my brother in law moves out though, what was once his room, will become the bird room at night. My brother in law is only here till the end of summer, hopefully we can keep our sanity till then lol
