Poor Stormy. At least he's well on his way to a full recovery. Did the vet send the scab site off to be tested? I'm just so glad that Stormy is safely back with you so you can love him back to health.

I'm so glad he's home and doing so well. Poor guy with that collar on - I hope he adjusts well to it. Two weeks is such a long time, but it's definitely for his own good. Thank you for sharing!

No, they didn't test the scab. I didn't realize that could be done. Vet didn't know what it was for sure.
We took off his collar to feed him and he just cried and cried until we gave him pumpkin! Comforts of home!

I saw someone mention an alternative for the cone on his head. I think it was some material that's placed snuggly over their body, like a large sock or something? I see you're in Wisconsin though, & it's really hot right now....so maybe not a good idea at all.
I did see something in a pet store that replaces the cone as well.

It's good to see Stormy back home again. I hope he copes well with the collar and his recovery is speedy and complete. Thank you for keeping us updated, I hope we get to hear lots more about Stormy in the future.
