hihi , just wondering if there's anything you can do to stop your cat to run away from house, sometimes when we open our house door she just runs out!! she goes under the car, and after just walks around a little, she hasnt runaway like crazy but i would like to prevent this =( if there's anything to do.
Does anyone what to do to stop them go outside?

btw she sometimes just stay by the door, it's not like she run outside everytime she can but it's often if she's close to the door.
Ah you have a little door-dasher! Ours got into the backyard a couple of times too. We've found the most effective way of stopping them is to have a spray bottle near the door, so when she goes to run out you can gently squirt her. They usually learn pretty quick
I think one problem you may have is that you take her outside also. I know in one of the pics you had of her, she was in her mom's purse outside. Once they've gone outside, many get the desire to be outside. Perhaps make the decision not to take her outside at all, then implement the training to keep her away from the door when open as Jo suggested.

Oh Alejandro, NO! I agree with Teresa, don't ever let her spend time outside. That's why she wants out, and you would have a broken heart if you lost her.
just wondering,
is it different if i take her to the car and drive to a park to walk with her? now that i remember a few weeks a go i was going outside with her using a chest leash (not sure about the translation , is the thing u use to get pets outside, like a leash around their chests)

A harness, maybe? I think a walk in the park will make her want outside too. She knows it's outside.
If she gets comfortable going out, she'll feel brave enough to run out the door of your house.

It's great that the squirt gun works...if she gets brave and decides that won't stop her you can also keep a can with marbles or rocks near the door and shake it every time you get ready to open the door
