I'm 99% sure he has another urinary block. He's been in & out of the litter box without result so many times this morning and now he's just sitting in there waiting to go. Sad Which now means he has to have surgery. We are checking into a place that does discount procedures (they neutered & chipped him - quality place) I'm hoping they can do it otherwise I'm not sure about the vet - do to our financial situation at the moment - we already owe a chunk (which we've applied for assistance on through a community fund that is kind of like a "scholarship" for pets that wouldn't otherwise get care). We will hear about that in a couple weeks. In the meantime the vet said if we need anything else we'll have to pay up front. Well I'll be talking to them about it - we are honest, hard working people, who make a good living, but the timing is just bad with my husband losing his job 3 weeks ago. I'm telling you, this cat has been non-stop difficulties with his health. Rather disheartening. He's been awesome the last month but wow, what else??
Oh poor Stormy! What horrid timing Sad I sure hope you get financial assistance... surely you can pay a deposit upfront and they can invoice you the rest? Hopefully Stormy can get that operation sooner rather than later. You and Hubby are in our thoughts, hopefully you can find another job soon.
Poor Stormy. Poor you too, what a horrible situation to be in. I do hope you can sort something out.
He's scheduled to have surgery in the morning. The vet is asking the charity board/vet fund for an emergency request to cover $1000 for us and well pay the remaining $500. I hope they are agreeable! That's more than we could ever ask for. The office manager was not kind. I said "I'd sure hate to put him down but if the vet thinks he's not healthy enough or if we can't work something out, we might have to" She said "it's always an option". How rude. The vet was much more understanding. I said I think it's ridiculous that we can't work something out. I don't see any reason for the cat to die over $1500 when we WILL pay it but we need a little assistance right now. Geez. My baby is being care for. ♥
Ohhh poor Stormy Sad Keep us updated! I hope you get the assistance!
Poor Stormy! Sad Good luck!
Poor Stormy... I sure hope you do work something out - I'm keeping you in my thoughts
I"m so glad he's getting the surgery - but how awful the office manager was!! I do hope the assistance comes through. Do they not have any idea why he keeps getting these? I hope something can be done to prevent them in the future.
I am so sorry to here about Stormy and your stress. I hope things work out for all of you. I feel really bad but I am glad you are able to get some assistance.

Not really. He doesn't have crystals but they think it's a mucous plug. This surgery will prevent the problem for happening again.
