We did get the $1000 grant....wow!!! He's in surgery now. He will have a collar and stitches for 2 weeks. There will be some bleeding. We'll try to go see him tonight if we can. The vet said she would also make a cut & stitch his sore too so it's a non-issue. Thanks for all your care! We did include a picture of him in the application. I figured it wouldn't hurt! : )

Yes, his back end was all ballooned up! He couldn't put his back legs together. Tummy and lower area was all hard. He's doing great tonight the vet said. Surgery is scheduled tomorrow morning. We have 3 out of the 4 votes needed to cover his surgery so I'm sure it will go through. We are so grateful!!

I was gonna say, all you have to do is show them that clip of Stormy and your son playing together and they wouldn't even have a chance to say no!!!

It would be nice if we could set something up for such cases for the people on are forum.
It's is nice to be suportive but it would be great if we could have some kind of fund set aside for people with emergence situations such as this.

I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. I can appreciate your anguish as my husband has just lost his job due to ill health and things are hard. I'm so pleased there was a fund available to give you assistance when you needed it for poor Stormy and I hope he recovers well from his surgery. I'm keeping my fingers crossedf for your husband and his new job too, I sincerely hope something will turn up for him very soon.
