I know, another diarrhea thread...LOL.

Just wondering if I should be taking Ruby to the vets or waiting it out to see if it passes.

She's had diarrhea the past two days. First day she used the litterbox 3 times, and last nite up until this morning she's used it 5 times. Yeah. Just for diarrhea. And she was going about every few hours so I hardly slept. She just had one about half an hour ago but it was practically all clear mucous with a tiny bit of brown.

It hasn't shown any signs of improving (firming up) but I think the mucus might be a sign that she's gotten rid of most if not all of it.

I haven't been able to see any worms or anything in it, but it is due time for her to be wormed.

I've been feeding them both a teaspoon each a day of Golden Mash baby food (pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and water) because Pyjamas had a couple days of diarrhea before Ruby. It helped him, but today his poo is semi-soft and hers seemed to get worse after the golden mash.

Any info or advice is greatly appreciated. I don't have a great deal of money but I can easily afford the vet visit if we have to take her. I'm just wondering if I do take her to the vets too much for things that will pass? Seems like we're always there, LOL.
She likely needs a course of Flagyl and a vet visit is in order.
Thanks Jan. Will arrange for a visit tonite and ask about the Flagyl. I'm getting concerned about her becoming dehydrated :\
Ohh poor Ruby. I would say vet for sure. For it going on this many days and because of the clear mucous.. Keep us updated!
Thank you Lindz. I will for sure.

I wish she would just be ok...it seems like with her there is always something wrong and she isn't just healthy for long before something else happens. It makes me so sad for her Sad
Awww!! poor baby ,
sure hope she is feeling better soon.
Thank you Linda...I hope so too!
I'm so sorry she's sick again. I hope maybe with Jan's suggestion of Flagyl that she'll get past this.
Thank you Teresa.

I'm starting to feel like I must be doing something wrong by her, but I just don't know what and I feel like a bad kitten mummy Sad
Oh Jelena.....so sorry Ruby is having diarrhea. :-(

I hope the medication Jan suggested does the trick, and you can soon celebrate firm poos once again!
