My mom has 2 rag doll cats, and I am currently taking care of them while she is at a embroidery convention. One of the cats, Sage, has me a little worried. He is acting fine, but he is getting a lot of eye crud building up in the bottom corner (near the nose) of his eyes. He also has some on the top eye lid of one of his eyes. The other cat Jasmine, she is doing fine and has no eye crud.

I looked at his eyes closely, and it is almost like his eyelid is a bit redder than Jasmine's. His eyes are clear and look fine. I am just worried about the amount of crud that builds up. I have been carefully wiping the crud off. I am wondering if he is allergic to something in the house?

Your mom's cats are beautiful. Lots of cats get the crud at the corners of their eyes. As long as the eyes don't seem to be having a discharge (just the dry crusties) it's probably ok. The redness may be due to an allergy or something. If the eye seems to be squinty, or the third eyelid begins to show, then I'd be concerned and possibly do a vet visit.
