I noticed that Moby's eyes get puffy and sore looking after returning from the cottage. The cottage has no air conditioning and is quite hot. After a few hours of returning home to our quite frankly 'cold' air conditioned house, he looks like he has allergies and it looks hard for him to open his eye(s) especially when he first wakes up. This happened the last time and I suspected it had to do with the air conditioning and after a full day at home it went away. Any thoughts?
I have no idea, but you could be right about the allergies. As long as it goes away I wouldn't think it anything to be too concerned about.
BTW, you've got to post more pics of your two -- I'm especially entranced by Moby's foot fluff!!
Air condition is not common here for our homes, but in cars we have them ...
I find that air con does create very dry air - when I'm in a car with air con I always get red eyes and they burn because they are dry - maybe that's the reason too with Moby?
It could also be stress from travels. That is what our vet said the other day that their eyes can get puffy or goopy because of stress. Mykah had that and the first thing that was checked was if he was stressed.
Good luck in finding what it may be.
I'll bet Nicky is right. The dryness could effect his eyes. Another thing, sometimes we have sinus problems when the weather suddenly changes or
when traveling from one area to another, until we become accustomed to the change. Could it be that different with our kitties?

...Thank you all good thoughts I didn't think of.
