My cats always go from grooming to rough housing. But is it fighting or playing? It's hard to tell for me sometimes because if Gussie is in the mix she's a talker/howler. I used to think she was in pain, and he was hurting her. Now I think it's a form of play. JanH what do you think it is?

Geoval, I don't think it matters when you introduce a new kitten. There was a period of adjustment in our home until the first cat, Gussie, accepted the second, Blue. When Linus came home, Blue had no problem with him, but Gussie was bent out of shape even longer than the first time. Her behavior changed and she was mad at me as well. She went back to being loving as soon as she accepted Linus.

That is a good point. In general they do their fair share of yowling and meowing to get our attention, but usually when they're playing they don't make a sound (except for dashing sounds as they run!). I know that Ruby is annoyed when she first growls, then hisses. At that point she sometimes waits to see if he'll keep going, and usually he does...LOL so she gets up and runs away. I think he does pester her quite a lot...!

Soooo sweet seeing the pics of your Ruby and Jama's cuddling, Jums. That's so wonderful Ruby is coming around again, since your cute little boy came home! Haha...luv how Ruby has her leg around Jamas.

You can try photo bucket if you want to make sig yourself.

If you want an image in your sig, you can use a photo you upload onto photobucket or make a graphic yourself, or ask someone to make it for you. The link Linda posted is a lovely tute Teresa made for help with posting photos using photobucket
