I thought I'd share something really funny that happened tonite.

My boyfriend Chris and I were watching tv, and Ruby was asleep on her big bean bag chair next to the television. Because Chris was watching sports I was screwing around and trying to distract him by singing in an annoying voice.

After about 5 minutes of the singing, Ruby comes over and is looking at us (we are in shock cause usually she doesn't care what we're doing unless we're feeding her!), then she starts to nip at Chris' leg. She stops after Chris shooes her off, and I continue singing. Next thing I know she comes over to us, jumps up onto my lap, jumps down, and bites at my leg! After she backs off, I sing again to see if she'll react again...and she jumps up next to me on the couch and tries to bite at my arm, then she leaves the room to sleep upstairs!

Wow ... it seems you've got a really determined little girl there watch out, she might retaliate next time by starting a nice little cat yowl LOL

Wow, Ruby is a bossy girl! If you are as bad a singer as me, I'd understand her trying to stop you. She can't cover her ears, after all.

Ruby is quite the character. I've found that it upsets Samantha if I whistle for too long. She'll start pitifully meowing. However, Samantha comes and rubs all over me when I whistle.

Haha Ruby! She must have been a musician in a past life Cute story!

Oh no! I hope not! Hahaha! Chris was singing to her tonite while she was trying to sleep and she came up to us again, looked at us as though we were very annoying, and went back to the bean bag ;-)

Is Simone the one who hates the whistling, or Samantha? LOL it reminds me of when we first brought Ruby home and I couldn't wash the dishes without her hiding behind the curtains and doing that pitiful meow as well. Silly girls we have
