Hi everyone,
I haven't been on the forum as much as I am used to lately... I have been really busy.
I had a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel 5 month old puppy on trial for a while here, and Kevin and I along with the breeder all decided that this little guy was not fit for us. Although he was as sweet as can be and incredibly affectionate, we described him more as an accessory than a pet. He wasn't food or toy motivated, didn't want to play, and that made training him and trying to take him out on positive experiences really tough. Then my parents went out of town and needed a dog sitter for their dog Zumi (my original dog that they still refuse to let me keep!). I love that dog. I tried using Zumi as motivation to teach the pup that it is fun to be pet, eat treats, play with toys, go outside, but it didn't work
He was pretty much perfect in the house, but really an accessory because all he did was just sit there, and actually if you came up to him to pet him he would run into a corner, even if we had treats in our hands. We all decided he would probably make a great pet for a senior home because he is so low maintenance, doesn't need to play, and has no desire to want to explore outside. Solo has actually really missed the little guy, he does enjoy having a companion I believe.
Once the pup went back I had such a great time with Zumi. We went on walks all over the place, practiced obedience, wrestled with Solo, it was great. Kevin and I definitely enjoyed having Zumi over and still hope to one day find a dog as versatile as her. I wish I could just keep Zumi instead of look for another dog
THEN at work I applied for a new position and had my interview yesterday. I think it went really well, and I hope I get it!!!!
AND I got a parking ticket
my very first one EVER, and I have a perfect driving record. I am so bummed, but I have been working on writing up an explanation to hopefully either drop, or reduce the charges. Honestly I had no idea I was in a 1hr parking zone... and I only parked there just under 2 hours too. Ugh.
So there, this is why I have been so busy!! There was just so much going on and I was too pooped out to even check my email the past week or two, however long it has been lol.
