Cat hair removal technique!!!!!

Just by chance I was cleaning in the bedroom the other day and I had put my rubber gloves ready to wash down the window sill.

Ok All you who know me well can get up off the floor from laughing now, it's true!! Big Grin

Anyway, Stan had left a pair of black trousers on the floor as usual so I picked them up and they were covered in cat hair Rolleyes.

So, dry rubber gloves are absolutely excellent at removing cat hair!! Just put one on and stroke down the material to an edge and the cat hair will all come with you and collect on the edge where you can just pick the clumps off Big Grin

It's so easy and virtually cost free and so much more effective than anything else I've ever tried.
Even closer to cost free is to wet your hands and do the same thing.
Not a bad idea Jane - maybe I should keep a pair in my office, cheaper than the lint rollers I go through! Hmm, guess I could always just spit in my hands to wet them though, huh? *GROSS*
Jane that idea works great on carpeted steps all so.
easier then the vacuum and alot faster and better. Smile

I've tried that but with so many cats and sooo much hair I always run out of spit Big Grin

When I try Jan's method I end up with my hands too wet and end up going out with damp trousers on Big Grin
Jane, thanks for a great tip!!! :-) Jan, not so much....Hahaha just kiddin'.
yep tried it and it does work
nice tip Jan! this will save me a fortune in tape and lint rollars!
Don't laugh.. but we actually have been giving our pets what we call "the rubber glove treatment" for years. We would take them outside, don the rubber gloves and give them a good rub down. The fur would fly everywhere.. my labs would actually moan, they loved it so much. I have used them on the stairs too, awesome for getting in the crack where the vacuum has trouble reaching. Thanks for the reminder Jane, I have rubber gloves, and plenty of fur on the furniture always!
I imagine it would be similar to using a Zoom Groom....?

We use to go through hundreds of lint rollers but I've found that a good clothes brush works a treat! Easier, cheaper, you don't need to find a bin all the time and it gets fur off much more efficiently Smile

Using the zoom groom is also fantastic but I usually only use that on the bed linen (and the cats of course!).
