Up til now I've just been using a greyhound comb on Charlie, every few days. But today (finally!!!) my Zoom Groom was delivered! What can I say....other than WOW!!!!!!!!! Its amazing how much fur it gets out!! I literally hand a handful of fur!! And Charlie loves it! He laid there and let me groom him for ages and kept moving into different positions so I could get to different parts of him! It was a nightmare to get him to sit still for 5 mins with the greyhound comb!
So glad I followed all the advice on here and went for the zoom groom! Thank you all!

Greyhound combs are designed to dig in and cut through the coat to remove tangles without damage, if used correctly. The Zoom Groom is designed to remove loose fur without damaging the coat. Both serve their purposes well.
Yup, zoom groom is great! I had to order my zoom groom from amazon coz there are no pet shops here who carry this fantastic brush... I use slicker brush on my ragdolls daily (gentle combing only because the slicker brush are quite sharp) and for zoom groom, I only use them once a week...
I am jealous! ;-) I have a zoom groom but both of my kittens HATE it. Jamas tolerates it better than Ruby (he tolerates EVERYTHING better than she does...lol.. u_u;
. When I can get it through Jamas, I am also shocked by how much fluff there is...and I comb him several times a week with a regular steel tooth comb. Too bad he squirms like a worm on a hook when I run it over his fur. ._. LOL.
The zoom groom is also great if you flip it over and use the backside to gather fur....I like to run it over my blanket as it brings all the fur together after I've brushed them.
