I went tonight to see my kitten, she is now 6 weeks old.

She is tiny, but not really thin, just small but they're all the same size pretty much, the mom isn't real big like I was expecting. She kept meowing at me...not sure why? Not a mean meow though.

So she has this litter separate from the others in a room, then she has 2 other litters in another room with the 2 moms, they're older, like 10 & 12 weeks old. Some were just about ready to go to their new homes.

Then she has the males in another area of the house. So I asked her to see the dad & she went & got him, and he's a big fluffball, super cute.

So the mom of this litter I guess can go in & out of the area the kittens are in and she told me she pretty much doesn't leave them at all.

The house was clean & smell free, except the one room had a faint smell, but I guess that is expected since she had I think 4 litterboxes in there.

The only thing I wondered about & asked her about was how well they all of them are socialized w/ people since they're in separate areas of the house, but she said they are and they do get to come out but that she keeps the males & females apart from each other. The little kittens don't get to go out of their room just yet she says when they're a bit older. They haven't been to the Vet yet maybe that's why?

Well anyway, I know some of you have been wondering...so here are some pics:

I think she definitely looks healthier in these pics than the 5 week ones! She's very cute!
Good job Sheri! I'm so glad to hear it went well and the results were good. These pictures do show her much better. She's such a little cutie. What a relief it must be.
The arrangements sound typical, careful and appropriate. That cats are kept apart does not mean time is not spent with all. One needs to keep the cats apart at certain times and at certain ages. One just makes sure all the groups of the moment get attention each day and that cats are strategically brought in or excluded as appropriate.
Such a little fluff ball! I agree, she looks much healthier now. I hope your mind is at ease Smile I wouldn't expect the mother to be terribly big at this stage, she is still in the process of weaning the kittens and being a mom has probably taken its toll. I've seen raggie moms compared to a spayed raggie and they are very different! I'm glad the dad was a big fluffball too. It's common to have young kittens separated in one section of the house until they have their first vaccinations too. All up it sounds like a good visit and hopefully you will have your new baby soon!
Yay! Plump and healthy just like I was wishing for. She's a little doll. Smile
She looks much better Sherri what is her little personality like?
Was she playing did she look happy?
I am glad you had a good visit with your precious baby!
Glad she seems to be doing so well - she is a cutie.
Molly, your sweet little girl looks very healthy.....such a relief I am sure. And what a doll she is! Sounds like she gets her fluffiness from her dad. So exciting.....only 6 more weeks to go. lol
