Good luck Cherry! I'm sure that things will work out with you and your cutie baby!
Hi Cherry. Is Milo an only cat? Menou used to bite my husbands hands and fingers. It wasn't the kitten's fault, the human shouldn't have been
dangling his hands at him like cat toys. As soon as we got the new kitten the biting stopped. I read somewhere they learn limits by playing and
biting with their littermates. Bubba will nip my hands in the mornings, but he's showing affection.
I hope you don't get too upset over the 9 month old not being a cuddle bug. Bubba was still changing at that age. For the first 5 or 6 months he didn't seem to care about us at all. Just played with his big brother and ignored us humans. Then he started meowing if he couldn't find me and following me. Now he is a little lover.
That's a really good point KatLeen! I never noticed but Ruby really stopped excessively attacking our feet and hands after we brought Pyjamas home. Now they usually just play attack eachother, with only a few nips here and there.
Another thing that may be a problem is I did hear that cats with excessive energy can take that energy out on you. Please do be sure to give him lots of play time a day (i'm thinking at least an hour....and some good vigorous playing like with a Da Bird) so that he can get some of the excitement and energy out of his system. He may just be frustrated because his instincts aren't really being challenged.
