That moth is just beautiful! I'm so jealous! All we get here are manky little brown ones! LOL!
I am from North Dakota--its really flat, and there is very little wild life b/c it gets so cold in the winter---but the vastness of the sky is breathtakeing, and there are quite a few interesting bird species because of the wetlands during the summer!!

That moth is beautiful--I have heard of Luna moths, and supposedly there were some in VA, but I have never seen one---are they really big?
Oh wow, Northa Dakota is lovely! I love open spaces like that. Around here there are so many trees you have to walk into the middle of the roads to look up and see the sky. Those are cute little birds - do you know the kind they are?

The moth was probably 4 inches across. It was really the first time I had a real good look at one.
Wow guys those are fantastic. I am in love with that moth T. WOW. Well no one ever thinks of NYC as a place for nature, but here is my contribution.

WOW! Amazing photos everyone! It's so great to see what the world looks like to people in different parts of the world. I especially love the New York pictures! Great pics, and I love the dog walkers!
That moth is beautiful!! I want one of those!!

Here is our lake. It's the largest natural lake in the state and what the vacationers come for. Also here are what the plum trees look like when they bloom every year.

Lexi, you must be a professional photographer too!! What stunning pictures!!! And the dog walkers, who would think they would make such interesting pictures??

Dorothy, the lake is beautiful and I love those trees.
Teresa-- Your Stargazers are beautiful! My lilies are just about finished for the year. Pre-Mishka, I would have lily bouquets on the island and the bar. Now, the only safe place is on the top of the cabinet above the double ovens.

Mishka can smell them, and she dearly wants to "see" them up close. She will sit on the floor below the ovens and holler like a tomcat!
I won't even bring any in my house. A good breeder I know sold a kitten that was allowed just to bite a lily - didn't even eat any of it. Kitten died and the necropsy showed it was lily poisoning. I won't take any chances. I"m concerned about my outdoor cat Smoke!
