Hi! There have been quite a few posts in the last few weeks about the best clumping litter to use. One that's not been mentioned is Arm & Hammer Essentials. I've found it at Walmart, PetSmart, and Petco, and it comes in a bright yellow bag instead of the box the regular A&H litter is in. It's made of corn fibers and baking soda. I mix it with WBCL and a bit of Kitten Attract.
This mixture clumps well, and it has kind of a woodsy smell. It really helps keep odors almost to a minimum. It doesn't cling to britches nearly as much as clay litter does. It does have a bit of dust, but not as much as most clays do. I also find that I don't have to add litter very often to the pan.
Those of you who are still searching for the right litter mix should check this out. That is, of course, unless your Raggie is very particular and only trusts Yesterday's News!
