My Macie loves sleeping in my bed but he sometimes wakes me up at about 5:30 in the morning. My husband can't handle it and wants to put Macie in the separate room to sleep. I really feel sorry for Macie, especially in cold days. How about your raggies? Do they sleep alone or share your beds? Love to know.
my raggies sleep either in or on the bed - 24 hours a day. if anyone who comes to see me and wants to see the raggies has to visit my bedroom
Now Jenny, that's not true all the time...I had some raggies in the bed with me in the guest room when I visited you...and a fiesty little Norweigian Forest who ate my cheerios!! (Maybe your cats know when there is a raggie lover in the house)
My girls sleep wherever they want to. At one time they slept in the bed between my husband and I and he didn't like them up around him like that -- so we bought a 6 foot long snake pillow like thing about 6" in diameter and put down the middle of the bed. They then slept on my side of the bed, LOL!! Now when they come up, the tend to sleep between me and the edge of the bed, or between my legs. But during warmer weather, I really don't see them at night - the find somewhere cooler to sleep I think.
One of the joys of cats is having them sleep with you. They are nocturnal. They want you to play. To avoid the early alarm clock, COMPLETELY ignore them. If you cannot manage, then, with NO interaction, pick them up and put them out of the room. Do not feed or give them attention for some minutes after you get up. If they yell or bang the door, then set up a distant room with food, water, litter and bedding and take them there. Most cats will learn they do not get what they want. If you scold them or interact, they get what they want - your attention. They may sometimes regress, but it will be tolerable. Some cats will improve with feline company, who will be happy to participate in the nocturnal games, leaving you out of them. Of course, sometimes that just means another cat is bothering you. (Tell your husband where the couch is. ; ) )
Charlie roams around all night but in the am we find him either on my head, my husbands head or the chihuahua's arms. Mostly if I exhaust him with play before my bedtime he passes out all cuddled up with chico my chihuahua ( that is his favorite place to sleep).
Mine sleep when and where they like!! The most we have had at one time on the bed with us was one night in January when it was really cold and there were 5 adults and 6 kittens (4 at around 10 weeks and 2 under 6 months) all on the bed. Now that was cramped night! Generally nowadays there are 3 or 4 cats and Diesel the small dog on the bed or in the bedroom and the others tend to congregate on the stairs.
One of mine sleeps next to me and the other on my feet. They lull me to sleep with their motors going.
Both sleep on my bed. Fawkes gives me the early wake up call so I just open the door to let him out and he doesn't bother me until I wake. Albus likes to sleep in on the mornings but Fawkes always manages to bribe him to get up.
Phoebe sleeps in our bed, right between our pillows all night long. We are early risers in this household so her morning antics of hey mum its brekkie time, always happens after the alarm.
To tell the truth I'm not really sure where Max sleeps. He has several beds. He does come and get in bed with me & Doug around 3AM. We don't care. I love the sound of his puring and all off his snuggles.
