For those of you who take your Raggies to groomers, is it worth it? We bathe Sunny once a month and now that it's spring and she's shedding like you wouldn't believe, I use the Zoom Groom every day and small toothed comb under her little legs where matts begin.

But, it seems to make no difference. She's been shedding non stop. So, I'm wondering if groomers can do any better? And how long after a grooming does the shedding get bad again? How much do groomers charge for brushing, etc ?
Grooming does not slow shedding. Grooming just removes the fur that has been shed to that time.
The benefit to taking your pet to a grooming salon is the powerful hair dryer that is used. That thing blows out so much hair it is unbelievable! I took my dogs to the groomers just for that reason; the good ol hair blower. I have only taken Solo in once...and I have to say you reminded me that taking him in again might not be a bad idea lol!

It definitely will not stop the shedding all together, but will help reduce for at least 2 weeks I would guess. A good coat blow out is nice every 4 - 6 weeks (that's the time I'd wait for my dogs at least)
We take ours 2x a year and it does cut down on the shedding. I went from vacuuming 2x a day to one. I love the way the boys look when they come back. Ours even brushes their teeth for us and are given the royal treatment. So for us it helps and yes they may still shed some but nothing as to what they were.

Is it necessary? I think that is up to each person and for us yes it is.

Good luck.
